CO(NH{TAG(tag=>sub)}2{TAG}){TAG(tag=>sub)}2{TAG} The main excretory product of many animals, particularly mammals and fish of the shark and ray family. It is produced in the ornithine (urea) cycle in the liver by deamination of excess amino acids and is also a breakdown product of purines and pyrimidines.See Wöhler\'s synthesis.
