Beer's law

  
   
The intensity of light passing through a solution decreases as e{TAG(tag=>sup)}--ÃŽÂcd{TAG}, where d is the distance travelled through the solution, c is the concentration of the solution and ÃŽÂ is the extinction coefficient. Named after August Beer (1825-63).See Lambert\'s laws.
